As one of the USA’s leading plus-size fashion retailers, our client has been delighting women for over twenty years with cute and classy offerings. The brand houses everything from underwear and shapewear to evening gowns, graphic tees, winterwear, and accessories. Known for its timeless designs and friendly customer service, the brand operates 80+ stores across the country – and empowers thousands of fashionable divas to feel their best every day.

Importance of Local SEO for the brand
Our client is the go-to brand for stylish women in the USA and is known for their body-positivity fashion. However, post-Covid, store visits had taken a hit, and the brand was also falling behind in online visibility for their local shoppers. They approached us because they realized they had to be SEEN by customers who wanted to look at, touch, and try out their clothes in-store- but did not know how to make their presence known to them.
Of course, Team BrandLoom knew how to do that.
What We Did for the Client
The key to gaining visibility among local customers is local SEO. Our client had outlets at many locations, so we picked a few strategic ones to start. Here is how we went about it.
Ensuring Complete & Accurate Information for Strategic Locations:
The first step was to understand the present status of local visibility, so we started by auditing the client’s Google My Business (GMB) listings. The objective was to make sure that all 80 stores had consistent and accurate information. After identifying what was missing on their GMB profiles, we updated store names, addresses, phone numbers, map views, directions, and operational hours for the same. Additionally, we added relevant, high-quality images and category tags to their profiles.

Communicating the Unique Nature of Each Location:
To attract local customers- we crafted unique, keyword-rich descriptions tailored to each location to enhance the listings. We regularly updated the profiles with details about local events and store-specific promotions. This ensured that the brand remained relevant to customers looking for the best offerings locally and interested in shopping within the community.
Building Citations For Each Store on Local Directories:
To be more visible to local customers and make it easy for them to contact you, you must include helpful information about your listings on popular and niche directories. This includes Yelp, Yellow Pages, and other local listings. We ensured NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) details stayed consistent across platforms to avoid confusion. We also leveraged location-specific directories to target hyperlocal audiences, ensuring that the stores would become more visible for local searches.

Increasing Brand Awareness By Leveraging Customer Reviews:
We optimized customer reviews to enrich the listings. This showed how customers trusted the brand and made the listings more attractive. Hence, the brand could stand out from its competitors, further boosting footfall and online engagement.
